Bling RAK – Bling… kisses from papercrafting angels…

Like I said, I’m wrapping presents today and am in the gift giving mood!

img_8040-6900728One of my favorite Christmas traditions is making Sausage Cheese Balls for Christmas morning breakfast! Brent and I will get up and pop them in the oven and then go sit on the couch to read the Christmas story from the Bible (Luke 2) and open presents together. I love Christmas morning with Brent. It’s laid back and peaceful.

Here’s your chance to win some fun BLING (paper flowers from Heidi Grace, Rhinestone flowers from CTMH, Paper Bliss 3-d embellishments and stickers from Cloud 9) for your paper crafts.

Leave a comment on this post and tell me one of your favorite Christmas traditions and I will draw a random name on Sunday afternoon to win some fun Bling.

  1. When the boys were little, I would bake cut out sugar cookies and put them in the freezer. When we saw on tv that RUDOLPH was on, I would take those cookies out, defrost them, and during the show, we would ice and decorate the cookies !! We still like doing that, and the “boys” are 27, 25 and 23 !! Thanks !!

  2. We bake a “Birthday Cake for Jesus” every year. We sing “Happy Birthday to The KING”! This is especially special because both of our girls 19 and 14 are Developmentally delayed. P.S. Do you care to share your recipe???

  3. I asked my son for some help on this one… and Weston said…” my favorite tradition is opening one present on Christmas Eve…” Thanks for the chance to win!

  4. although my kids are all grown and moved away, I always loved the stocking stuffings….and finding cool little trinkets of love to put in them …I still send the kids a new stocking every year with plenty of goodies including their favorite M&M’s

  5. My most favorite Christmas tradition is watching my DH get so excitedfor present time that he can’t get to sleep Christmas Eve. Then he is up at 4 in the morning waiting for everyone else to get up. And while he is waiting he is fixing me breakfast in bed!!! The kids don’t even get up that early! The excitement is contagious and I still refuse to get out of bed befor 6am. 🙂

  6. Sweet Bling Bling! I want to play!We make the kids come get us up before they can do anything. Then it’s coffee time and hearing the kids go can we start yet. Almost!! Ok after all the money we spend, I think we can do that!We always talk about what Christmas is all about, so the kids understand. Thanks for a chance.cmeyers@hughes.net

  7. I Love singing Christmas songs before opening presents. It’s been a tradition since as long as I can remember for my family and now my husband and me keep it up every year. Thanks for a chance to win some bling.

  9. My favorite Christmas tradition is to take turns opening gifts so that everyone can see what each person got. In my family of 17 it can take several hours to open gifts!! But it is a lot better than ripping them all open at once!Lovin’ the bling!!!Cheryl KVD

  10. we always open 1 gift on christmas and then the others on christmas day. I have been doing this since i was little and still do it to this day since I am married.

  11. I would have to say one of my favorite traditions is midnight mass with the family. No matter what is going on around that time of the year it’s always a peaceful family time. Thanks so much for the chance…. and Happy Holidays! 🙂

  12. I think that is a wonderful Christmas tradition, that I might be adopting this Christmas myself. I feel like everyone is losing the meaning of Christmas and I want it back! Thanks for the chance to win some goodies!

  13. The Nutcracker is here this week & my daughter & I have been going to this together every other year since she was a little girl. This year we are also taking her own little 5 year old daughter, so it will be an extra special time for us:)

  14. Oh, I have so many–this is my FAVORITE time of year–decoarting, baking, shopping. Anyway, my two favorite traditions: The Christmas ornament–my mom gave us each one every year. When I moved out of the house, I had a tree full of special ornaments. I love looking at them and remembering CHristmases past. I now do this with my own children and try to pick an ornament that reflects something special about that year. The other tradition is CHristmas Bingo. We only play this on years at my mom’s house. When she and my dad were in high school they created this bingo game by hand–everything is hand-drawn and handwritten. We always get a huge l augh out of the spelling errors. It’s loads of fun and we all love to win the fun little prizes. I’m thinking of making one this year with my own boys so we can play every year.

  15. When I lived home with my Mom, she ALWAYS had possession of the sofa, so on Christmas Day, part of my present was I got the couch for the whole day! And, even tough I’m a really good cook, christmas beakfast for both of us was junk food, macadamia nuts, cashews, pistachios, fancy cookies, nice chocolates, etc. It was downright decadent! And I could recline in spendor on the couch, and watch sappy movies while I indulged in the goodies!!!

  16. Because I was born on December 25th, people often comment that I must have felt “cheated out of a birthday” as a child. On the contrary! First of all, because my birthday was on Christmas Day, everyone felt sorry for me, and I ended up with more presents and attention. Since our family on both sides opened presents on Christmas Eve, I had my birthday presents to look forward to. I’ve always been proud to share my birthday (and my birthday cake) with Jesus, although now that I’m in my sixties, I don’t do much celebrating.

  18. Shopping for toys with money raised from our toy drive at work. I love this part of Christmas…giving to those in need. Specially children!

  19. My favorite tradition came from my hubby’s family. We have the kids come into the living room one at a time, starting with the oldest to see what Santa left for them (they get one “big” unwrapped item from Santa each year). It’s fun to see their individual reactions. And it gives me time to get breakfast going while they check out Santa’s gift and before the opening of the wrapped presents madness begins.

  20. My very favorite tradition started when I was a little girl. For Christmas Eve dinner, we have many different kinds of breads, cheeses, and dried fruits. We also drink grape juice and turn off all the lights and have dinner by candlelight. We feel like these would be the kinds of things that Mary, Joseph, and the Shepherds would have eaten the night of Christ’s birth. Then we all dress up and act out the Christmas story with someone reading from the bible and the rest of us singing carols.

  21. Hi Erin, my favorite Christmas tradition–since I am still single–is every Christmas Eve, Mom, Dad put on our new Christmas pajamas, make hot chocolate and I get to snuggle in between them as we read the new Christmas release book from Deseret Book or Seagull book. (Oh, the book is read by my Dad). I still love doing this even though I am not a little girl anymore. It is my alone time with Mom and Dad and it is FANTASTIC!!!

  22. My favorite tradition for the holiday now is that my parents visit and stay overnight…and this way, my children get to experience the season as I did as a child! 🙂 We also have a big dinner…and since I don’t have much in the way of “blood” family…it is all my “extended” family – 2 best girl friends and their families, and some friends who do not have any family around. I just love it!

  23. Well, since we lived overseas and 6,000 miles away from family, friends were our family. On Christmas Eve we would go out looking at the Christmas lights on base, then come home and let the kids open 1 present…Christmas pj’s…so they looked decent when we filmed Christmas morning! LOL Then we would finish wrapping up presents and watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Christmas morning we would start by singing Happy Birthday to Jesus, then we would open up presents, start Christmas dinner for friends and those without family. After dinner we would play 1, 2, 3’s (a game from my DH family), eat some more and just celebrate being together with family & friends so far away from home.
